FOREIGN IDENTITY DECLARATION FORM

Foreign Identity Declaration Form for Title Deed Transfers in Turkey

Mandatory pre-sale form to be completed and signed by foreign sellers.

Before a title deed transfer (TAPU) can take place where the seller is a foreign national, the Foreign Identity Declaration Form (Yabancı Kimlik Beyan Formu) must be fully completed, a photograph attached and the form signed at the bottom of the last page. This document is bilingual (Turkish and English) and records the seller’s identity and contact details in a format required by Turkish authorities.

Without this form, the Land Registry cannot finalise a sale involving a foreign seller. For that reason it is a critical part of the documentation set, alongside passport copies, tax number, compulsory earthquake insurance (DASK) and, where applicable, SPK-licensed valuation reports.

The example below shows the typical layout of the Foreign Identity Declaration Form. Your agent or lawyer will usually help you complete it correctly before the TAPU appointment.
